I graduated from SOSU in 2008. This was just as they were beginning to build the new student union and switched our name to the Savage Storm. Now that we're back in Durant my husband and I like to take our three kids on bike rides to downtown. Our halfway stop is the Southeastern campus. We sit under the magnolias and let the kids play around the old fountain down the lawn in front of the Morrison building. They call the campus, "Mommy's school" which always makes me smile.
Our campus may not be big or lavish but it is beautiful and a peaceful place to sit and enjoy nature.
When graduates book their portrait session I have my favorite spots depending on the season. Kendyl's session was during the fall. The perfect time for portraits on campus. The trees are changing and it's not ridiculously hot out. One thing I like to do outside the normal cap and gown photos is to take a professional headshot for their Linked In account. Their hair and makeup is done so I take advantage of the opportunity to help them have a great image to show potential employers searching online. It's an added bonus to the session that saves them some time and money down the road.
